bulletlong tweezers or locking tweezers
bulletdop stick, wax stick or Handi-tak
bulletHypo cement or other appropriate glue (If I catch you using Krazy Glue or Super Glue, I will personally hunt you down and take it away from you)
bulletselection of vintage rhinestones
bulletjewelry wire

Work space

bullethave a clean separate work space for working on the jewelry
bulletwear protective glasses when removing rhinestones
bulletmake sure you have plenty of light
bulletuse either a magnifying light or magnifying visor (Optivisor)
bulletuse a mat or fabric to try to keep loose rhinestones from rolling off the work surface

 

Repairs

bulletif you aren't comfortable making repairs take your pieces to a professional
bulletdiscuss with the repair person about not over cleaning or polishing your jewelry (some will clean it and make it  shine like new)
bulletask how they solder or weld pieces, how do they protect the rhinestones?
